Plurals of Nouns and Articles

Noun - a person, place, thing, or idea

In Spanish, all nouns have gender.

feminine

The gender of a noun NEVER changes.

Plural means more than one.

To make a noun plural:

bullet

add "s" if the noun ends in a vowel

bullet

add "es" if the noun ends in a consonant

bullet

for nouns that end in "z," change the "z" to "c" and then add "es."
bullet

Example: lápiz becomes lápices

There are also singular and plural articles.

These all mean "the"

Indefinite Articles

Singular indefinite articles mean "a" and "an."

Plural indefinite articles mean "some."
